Description
Woman's bag or handbag in bamboo and blue silk satin. Octagonal-shaped central panel front and back of horizontally laid bamboo, outer sides edged with single bamboo with side corners in ruched blue silk satin. Blue silk satin covered slim handles at top with brass locking catch. Inside lined with very fine wood covered with paper painted as imitation yellow wood. Handwritten in pencil inside 'Olive Murray from Aunt Agnes 1886.'
